Disputation on the Power and Efficacy of Main Stream Media Acting as the Free Press

Out of love and concern for the truth, and with the object of eliciting it, the following issues will be the subject of a public discussion on social media and should be brought about to the Main Stream Media, which under the public concern, is recognized as the Free Press and thereby associated with the 1st Amendment of the Constitution of the United States, at the behest of Dennis Lambert, a qualified independent candidate (Green Party) for President of the United States, a duly recognized citizen, an eight year veteran of the United States Army and United States Army Reserve. He requests that whoever cannot be present personally to debate the matter orally will do so in absence in writing.

  1. When our Constitution was written and eventually ratified, including the initial Amendments so called the Bill of Rights, while it did not cover every citizen, it later did and will be the symbol and organizational document of the United States.

  2. The Rights enshrined in the document have corresponding Responsibilities and neither can be separated.

  3. It is often that citizens and others in the United States have used the Rights of the Constitution without assuming or following through with the Responsibilities of the Constitution.

  4. Until one assumes the Responsibilities of the Constitution, one cannot accept the Rights of the Constitution.

  5. No one person, no matter their elected or appointed position, in the United States of America or elsewhere is above the Law enshrined in the Constitution of the United States.

  6. No one citizen or person of the United States America has the sole authority to take from another citizen or person or group of citizens or group of Voters the Rights enshrined in the Constitution of the United States.

  7. No one citizen or person in the United States has more Rights than any other citizen or person in the United States.

  8. The Law under the Constitution of the United States is intended to provide legal and organizational guidance to those who are living in the Unites States or those who are citizens of the United States.

  9. Accordingly, those who do not live in the United States or are not citizens of the United States may not exercise the Rights of the Constitution of the United States, nor can they assume the Responsibilities.

  10. Where the citizens and others in the United States are protected by their Rights, their ongoing Responsibilities should not be neglected.

  11. When citizens are not maintaining their Responsibilities, it should be logical that they are not longer entitled to the protection of their Rights.

  12. The 1st Amendment of the Constitution was written to protect and enshrine the rights of Freedom of Religion, Freedom of Speech, Freedom of the Press, the Rights to Petition the Government, and the Rights of Assembly for those of like minds to create a caucus of purpose.

  13. In former days, the Main Stream Media was a town crier, then print press, then radio, then television, and now there is a global network of news organizations, yet there is a minority of organizations that control more than 80% of the news consumed by the citizens and those living in the United States of America.

  14. Main Stream Media, particularly Network and Cable news outlets, has increased with their reach and influence.

  15. The Main Stream Media has assumed the role of a Free Press described in the Constitution of the United States.

  16. As the Main Stream Media has assumed the role of the Free Press as an organization in the United States, they are required to assume the Responsibilities of the Free Press under the Constitution of the United States.

  17. There seems to be the same difference between Main Stream Media and the Free Press.

  18. Of all the challenges of the Free Press to secure the Rights of the 1st Amendment, the Free Press has maintained their Rights and maintained their Responsibilities by identifying the author of the information the Free Press published.

  19. A Responsibility of the Free Press includes ensuring the Right of Free Speech

  20. .In recent years, it is no longer clear whom the author is of the information published by the Free Press. This is a violation of the Responsibilities of the Free Press under the Constitution of the United States.

  21. There have been a number of stories published by the Free Press in the Main Stream Media to be proven Fake News.

  22. Advertising disguised as and published as news in the Main Stream Media acting as the Free Press is a violation of the Responsibilities of the Free Press. It is Fake News.

  23. The “Yellow Cake” narrative of the Bush Administration, the “Gulf of Tonkin” narrative of the Johnson Administration are two historical examples of the Main Stream Media acting as a Free Press publishing Fake News to support the Democratic and Republican party narratives to maintain or expand their powers.

  24. A source of Fake News that is presented in the Main Stream Media as part of a Free Press is often provided by the Democrats and Republicans acting in their roles as elected officials of the Unites States of America or candidates for the same or appointees of the Government.

  25. The Main Stream Media does not make immediate corrections, nor does it often recognize the Fake News it publishes acting as the Free Press. This is a neglect of the Responsibilities of the Free Press under the Constitution of the United States of America.

  26. The Main Stream Media acting as the Free Press often perpetuates Fake News by continued coverage of the Fake News and reporting the same information as if it was from an alternate source without confirming or refuting the Fake News.

  27. The Democrats and Republicans, controlling the elected positions United States Government and making the laws have conspired with the Main Stream Media to push the political ideas and agendas of the Democrats and Republicans without regard to alternative ideas from candidates running in the growing field of independent political ideas.

  28. The Main Stream Media acting as a Free Press has prohibited and prevented the publication of information about independent candidates’ campaigns for political office, thereby restricting the independent candidate and the candidates’ party Right to Freedom of Speech.

  29. As the Main Stream Media is the source of information for 80% of the population and now more than 60% of registered Voters are independent, the Voters are not hearing the information of the parties working to represent the independent voter when the Main Stream Media does not cover the campaigns of independent candidates.

  30. As the Main Stream Media is acting as the Free Press in expressing its Rights under the Constitution of the United States, it is not being held to its Responsibilities.

  31. As the combination of creating False News and the repression of the Right of Freedom of Speech, perhaps under the influence of the United States Government, the Main Stream Media is not acting in a responsible manner to have so much control of the amount and type of information that is published or denied the public. This is censorship.

  32. The amount of coverage of independent candidates in the Main Stream Media is a fractional portion of the amount of time spent on the campaigns of the Democrats and the Republicans and the primary coverage of the Main Stream Media of independent candidates is one of derision or mockery.

  33. When the Main Stream Media is acting as the Free Press and only provides lampoonish coverage of independent candidates for political office, they are diminishing the Right of Assembly of the party the candidate represents as well as their Right to Freedom of Speech by distorting the messenger and the message.

  34. Independent candidates represent the issues that concern most Americans in the United States of America.

  35. Independent candidates have attempted to bring the Main Stream Media acting as the Free Press to cover issues they support, such as Gun Control, Medicare for All/Universal Healthcare, Criminal Justice Reform, Marijuana Legalization, and Climate Change, as they each are issues which have greater than 60% support across ALL political ideology.

  36. The Main Stream Media provided a fraction of coverage in the 2016 and 2018 elections for the issues of Gun Control, Medicare for All/Universal Healthcare, and Climate Change than it provided Democrat and Republican infighting and battle for control.

  37. By ignoring the issues the Voters support and focusing on the narrative supplied by the Democrats and Republicans, the Main Stream Media has ignored their Responsibility as the Free Press to provide the public with information that matters to the public.

  38. The Main Stream Media acting as the Free Press is censoring the independent candidate and has only supplied the public with information about the Democrats and Republicans.

  39. The Main Stream Media is working as a part of the Democrat and Republican parties when they are censoring the issues important to the majority of Voters.

  40. When the Democratic and Republican parties control the United States Government and use the Main Stream Media to push their agenda, they are using the Main Stream Media as an arm of the Unites States Government to censor Voters and independent candidates Right to Freedom of Speech.

  41. When the Government can censor the Main Stream Media through coercion, it is a violation of the Constitution of the United States of America.

  42. It is possible that the closer the Main Stream Media gets to the Democrats and Republicans, the more they gain power for themselves and discard their Responsibility under their actions of the Free Press.

  43. It is possible that the distortion of the information provided to the public by the Main Stream Media actions as the Free Press helps them maintain the control and power they have with the Democrats and Republicans.

  44. It is very difficult to presume, given the close relationship of the Main Stream Media to the Democrats and Republicans, that the actions of the Main Stream Media in the form of the Free Press are free from undue influence and possible coercion in order to maintain the existing power structure.

  45. An educated voter is the key to a functional democracy.

  46. Censorship of the independent candidate by the Main Stream Media acting as the Free Press prevents the voter from being educated about the issues the independent candidate supports that the majority of Voters support.

  47. The Main Stream Media acting as the Free Press is working against the democracy of one man one vote under the Constitution of the United States when it censors independent candidates that support the majority of the issues that the Voters of the United States supports.

  48. The Main Stream Media acting as the Free Press is violating its Responsibility under the 1st Amendment of the Constitution of the United States when it censors independent candidates that support the majority of the issues that the Voters of the United States supports.

  49. When the Democrats and Republicans exercise influence over the Main Stream Media to not cover or diminish the campaign of the independent candidate in the Free Press, the Democrats and Republicans are working against the democracy of one man one vote under the Constitution of the United States.

  50. When Democrats and Republicans work against the democracy of one man one vote under the Constitution of the United States while elected or appointed to positions in the United States Government, they are violating their Oath of Office.

  51. Democrats and Republicans should learn that unless they support a true democracy they will lose the power that the democracy creates to empower the Voters to improve themselves and their communities

  52. .Democrats and Republicans, especially those in elected or appointed positions in the United States Government, should learn to support the issues that the Voters support.

  53. Democrats and Republicans, especially those in elected or appointed positions in the United States Government, should learn that it is an honor to serve in those positions.

  54. Democrats and Republicans, especially those in elected or appointed positions in the United States Government, should learn and understand their responsibilities to the Voter and others living in the United States of America and the Constitution.

  55. More Voters who are eligible to vote should learn that they need to exercise their Right to Vote.

  56. Some Voters may not exercise their Right to Vote because they do not have enough information to make an informed decision about the elections.

  57. Some Voters are deceived by the Fake News and false narratives published by the Main Stream Media acting as the Free Press under the influence of Democrats and Republicans that independent candidates are not viable and therefore not qualified to run for elected office.

  58. Those who lost their Right to Vote should be able to regain that Right once their obligation to the justice system is paid. Unless the Right to Vote was lost by willful actions to defraud an election.

  59. Voters who refuse to exercise their Right to Vote, a primary Right AND Responsibility under a democracy should perhaps lose other Rights.

  60. Vote Fraud is a greater problem than Voter Fraud.

  61. Vote Fraud is not investigated because Democrats and Republicans control elections.

  62. Elections should not be entirely controlled by Democrats and Republicans deciding the vote count, voter validation, polling times and locations as they currently are.

  63. The lack of educated Voters has caused millions of Americans to die because the uneducated Voter is voting more than those who would vote if they had information about all the candidates including the independent candidate.

  64. The Main Stream Media acting as the Free Press are responsible for uneducated Voters and low voter turnout because they are not covering independent candidates who support the issues that a majority of Voters support.

  65. The enemy of representative democracy and the United States Constitution is a low voter turnout.

  66. As the public and Government of the United States of America can agree that holidays are important for the development of community and family, a national holiday for Voters to exercise their Right to Vote is necessary for the preservation of the representative democracy of the United States of America.

  67. The Main Stream Media acting as the Free Press should be covering the issues the Voters and Voters of the United States supports and the candidates that support those issues regardless of their party affiliation. Anything less is censorship.

  68. The Main Stream Media acting as the Free Press should be covering the independent candidate more if they are speaking about the issues the majority of Voters and others in the United States support than the Democrat and Republican who are not speaking about those issues. Anything less is censorship.

  69. A candidate for elected office is a viable candidate for elected office if they are a qualified candidate.

  70. If a candidate meets the requirements for office, they are a qualified candidate.

  71. If a candidate fulfills the obligations required to get on the ballot for an election, the candidate is a qualified candidate for the election.

  72. As a candidate for office is not qualified for office based on their income, a candidate for office should not be qualified for office based on the amount of money raised for their campaign.

  73. When the independent candidate cannot get the Main Stream Media acting as the Free Press to cover their campaign in which they ask for pledges and donations and then the Main Stream Media says an independent candidate is not qualified because they do not get enough donations, they are creating the obstacle that the independent candidate cannot overcome by the failure of the Free Press to obey their Responsibilities under the Constitution of the United States of America. This is censorship.

  74. The Main Stream Media should learn that there are more than two sides to any story and there are more than two sides to a political discussion. Anything less is censorship.

  75. When the Main Stream Media acting as the Free Press present only the Democratic and the Republican narrative, it is creating a false equivalency and censoring the other viable opinions.

  76. The Main Stream Media acting as the Free Press should report the ideas of political parties apart from the Democrats and Republicans to provide representation to the 60% of independent Voters. Anything less is censorship.

  77. It is impossible for an independent candidate to get elected when their campaign is not covered by the Main Stream Media acting as the Free Press. This is censorship and a violation of the Responsibilities of the Free Press under the Constitution of the United States.

  78. The Main Stream Media acting as the Free Press should proudly and gladly exclaim the multitude of viewpoints it can bring to the various communities of the United States of America in their own diversity. Anything less is censorship.

  79. It is foolish to think that independent candidates cannot get elected because they don’t have support when the Main Stream Media acting as the Free Press does not inform the public about the candidate, especially when the candidate is running on the issues the majority of the public supports.

  80. A contrary assertion must be made that the independent candidate can get elected if their campaigns are covered by the Main Stream Media acting as the Free Press. Anything less is censorship.

  81. To say the Main Stream Media acting as the Free Press cannot cover every candidate for office is an inability to recognize the scale and access to the various platforms the Main Stream Media is publishing or controlling in the United States of America and across the world.

  82. A contrary assertion must be made that the Main Stream Media acting as the Free Press do not want to publish or provide coverage of independent candidates because it is a threat to their power or the power of the Democrats and Republicans who give the Main Stream Media their power.

  83. Is it possible to be perfect in the coverage of every candidate for elected office, including the independent candidate in the Main Stream Media acting as the Free Press? If not, should we accept perfect as the enemy of good and deny any coverage to the independent candidate and live with censorship and the death of representative democracy enshrined in the Constitution of the United States of America?

  84. It is important for the Main Stream Media acting as the Free Press to understand that their failure to provide a diverse view from all candidates for election have led to low Voter turnout because the Voter does not see their point of view represented in the candidates for election and will not turn out on election day.

  85. Again: The lack of a national holiday for elections prevents Voters from turning out for elections and building community.

  86. Again: The lack of information from the Main Stream Media acting as the Free Press on all candidates for elections prevents Voters from being informed, preventing the building of community in the various areas of the United States of America.

  87. Again: Uninformed Voters and no national holiday prevents building community and encourages low voter turnout.

  88. Again: Low Voter turnout is the death of the representative democracy enshrined in the Constitution of the United States of America.

  89. Again: The Main Stream Media are acting as the Free Press and is failing to uphold their Responsibilities under the Constitution of the United States of America while hiding behind their assumed Rights.

  90. If the Main Stream Media acting as the Free Press truly supports a free and open representative democracy which we are all guaranteed under the Constitution of the United States of America and plans to exert their Rights also guaranteed, they must assume actions to perform the Responsibilities inherent and connected to those Rights.

  91. This is simply an assertion that truth and honesty is important for a representative democracy and for the continuation of the United States of America as organized under the Constitution. Truth and honesty includes ensuring an informed Voter.

  92. It would therefore behoove the Main Stream Media acting as the Free Press to ensuring the Voter is well informed for elections for their own protection.

  93. Away, then, with those who say the United States is a representative democracy.

  94. Hail, hail to all those independent candidates who run for office when they see no representation in the Democrats and Republicans despite the mockery and derision from the Main Stream Media acting as the Free Press and the candidates for Democrats and Republicans

  95. .Let us all be confident that our representative democracy is stronger with more diverse representation and independent candidates running for elected office are proof of a healthy democracy.
